Permission To Continue To Work

Permission to Continue to Work (PCW) in the Cayman Islands is a temporary authorization granted to a non-Caymanian who has reached their term limit and has a pending immigration matter, allowing them to continue lawful employment while awaiting a decision. Eligibility may include the following categories:

1) Awaiting decision on an application for Permanent Residence (PCW) – valid for up to 6 months.
2) Awaiting decision on a Permanent Residence refusal appeal before the Immigration Appeals Tribunal (PCW) – valid for up to 6 months.
3) Awaiting decision on a Permanent Residence refusal appeal via Judicial Review before the Grand Court (PCW) – valid for up to 6 months.
4) Final Permission to Work (FPW) is a short-term authorization granted where an appeal has been dismissed, allowing the individual to continue employment for a final period while making arrangements to regularize status or depart the Islands. It is valid for up to 90 days only.
